Jyväskylä Dance festival: Say Something

SAY SOMETHING premiered in 2011 as a performance for adults in collaboration with four professional dancers. In 2014, we adapted the performance into a work for children and families performed by a children’s choir. With Kipinät-choir, H2DANCE presents a version with a mixed choir of women and children, a 30-minute song and movement piece inspired by Janet Cardiff’s installation, The Forty-Part Motet.

The piece explores group behaviour, conformity, and freedom of expression and was developed in collaboration with composer Sylvia Hallett.
