Open Art Lab 3: Valta / Power

As long as there is action, there is hope.

Third Open Art Lab at Cultural Centre Villa Rana explores influence and power in the means of art, word and handicraft activism. The event is held outdoors in the grounds of the Cultural Centre and in alternative indoor space if the weather is bad. You can participate in Finnish, English or other languages.

In the event you can paint or spray your opinion, change the public space with handicrafts and give feedback to politicians, parents, or the whole world by speaking at the Speakers’ Corner or make a video or a text. Come as you are and participate by painting, crocheting, making a video or a speech or a poem. Participants between 13 and 30 years old are served complimentary snacks and soft drinks.

This is a free entrance event organized by Jyväskylän kulttuuritalon tukiyhdistys ry / Cultural Centre Villa Rana (@kulttuuritalovillarana) in cooperation with Jyväskylä Festival (@jyvaskylankesa), and funded by European Union through Erasmus+ programme (@europeanyouthfinland / @erasmusplusfinland). Open Art Labs are multiartistic events for 13-30 years old and deal with people, emotions, environment, politics, power and other topics. The workshop is held in a barrier-free environment and it follows guidelines of safer space.
