Calligraphy Workshop in Darkness
Calligraphy workshop in darkness consists of the basic Japanese calligraphy skills in the darkness environments. In the workshop we work with candlelights, focus on developing our own well-being and discuss.
The workshop is open for all and previous experience with calligraphy is not required. Sumi-ink stains stay on the fabric. Recommended wear black clothes. Workshop is free admission but register your sport in advance.

Facilitator: Yukina Yamamoto
Yukina Yamamoto is a Japanese calligraphy artist based in Jyväskylä. She is a certified master of Japanese calligraphy “shihan-i” classI received many Japanese calligraphy awards at adult competitions in Japan. Yamamoto has started working as an artist in Finland since 2020. Since then she has been working by herself and by an artist group especially with Finnish artists. She has done performance, workshop as well as solo- and group exhibitions. Yamamoto is a member of the Jyväskylä artist association as part of the project team.
